GABORONE-KUALA LUMPUR

Being from a small city like Gaborone and then coming to Kuala Lumpur was like coming to a different world to me.In Gaborone yah there are tall buildings, but when i first arrived in Kuala Lumpur known as KL here,i was amazed to see so many tall buildings standing next to each other. You could Just see them buildings from two or three miles away. The very first time i went to the city we were taken to the Petronas Twin tower, they used to be the tallest twin buildings in the world anyway, and we went to that sky bridge, when you are up there, you will see that everything in the ground its just so small,i mean looking down there you would see the moving cars as if they were toy cars hahaha, even though i might be exaggerating here. But the feeling is nice there.I enjoyed shopping in the big shopping malls inside the twin towers, but things are a little bit expensive there,so you better carry enough cash to enjoy yourself there. Then there was nightlife, eish how can i explain this one,but i will try it anyway.Let me start at the beginning. After some few weeks in Malaysia and after i was shown the city,i decided to try night life,i took a cab, straight to Kuala Lumpur,on the way i asked the taxi driver if he knew any club in KL where he could take me,i told him i was new in Malaysia and he agreed to accompany me to one one of the clubs in the city and he promised to wait for me until the clubs closed. So he take me to one club he knew,it was in the middle of the city, when i got there i was amazed to  find many  western nationals in the club,i did not expect to find anyone from England and US in Malaysia, entrance free, this one thing that shock me the most, back home i know that every time you have to pop out some cash before you can be admitted into the club, here its different, only what you have to do you have to get in and buy drinks, and then party the whole night.Do not take your girlfriend along with you when you go out for a nightlife in Malaysia, there are lot of prostitutes in every club here and they will keep coming for you asking you if you don't need their services, but if you wanna try it out with an Asian chick, you can just go for it.There are many Chinese and Filipino prostitutes more so that you will end up asking yourself''is malaysia not an islamic state? The only answer is that Kuala Lumpur is more of a western City.I will continue this one day.I have really enjoyed myself in this country.

THE JOURNEY FROM AFRICA TO ASIA,A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE

Actually i was overjoyed when at first i saw on the list that i have been one of those students who have been selected to study abroad. Then the time came,i had to choose the institution of my choice, many institutions most of the from Malaysia,South Africa and Namibia came to our education fair hosted by our ministry of education,i went from one stall to another trying to make a right decision, never did i know the choice i will make will be the worst in my life. There was this one institution from Malaysia which i decided to try my luck at,INTI University college Malaysia.Malaysia thats where i want to go,i applied, admitted there on spot, went back Home where i showed my uncle that i have been admitted to an institution in Malaysia,he was so delighted that i'm going abroad, sorry for him anyway.I did all the necessary things i was required by the MOE to do regarding my scholarship application and all the rest. Then it was time for me to leave my peaceful beloved country Botswana. My mother was there and some friends,i boarded air Botswana, off to South Africa. Then i started to notice many different things,i will now be exposed to the world.Just to tell you a little bit about OR Tambo International airport in South Africa,Johannesburg, ooh what a big airport the terminal building is bigger than our terminal building back in Botswana, when i compared it to our airport in Botswana,it was like Sir Seretse Khama Airport was an airstrip,O R Tambo is a big airport, able to accommodate large aircrafts from all parts of the world.Thats where i first saw The United State of America Air force plane, and i thought it was the biggest I've ever seen, would like to be in the army anyway thats why i'm so fond of the military aircrafts.I went through the airport security checks and went into some shops even though things are a little bit expensive there, all airports are like that anyway, don't have to mind about it.It was in Johannesburg where i managed to meet  and know some few guys which were on the same mission like me.  I went to departure hall,i could see outside through the large windows that south Africa have some world class road networks, unlike back home in Botswana where we are used mostly to 2 way roads. Now it was time to leave Africa,Cathy Pacific was waiting for me,with its white and green colors, ready to give a life experience of all time.Actually i was a little bit afraid to fly in big planes like Boeing 747-400,after watching some few documentaries on air crash investigations, never watch them or else you won't fly.I went in,my seat was just near the wing,i could see the large engines, the cabin staff addressed us on safety features, and if you are a normal person this is the time when you will start to shake and ask yourself some questions, then came on the pilot, captain,,he introduced himself,he told us that they will be taking us to Hong Kong in 13 hours,oh i forgot to tell you that on this journey we were going to transit in Hong Kong International airport,i only realized that the journey was going to be long when we were given some blankets and other stuff to clean the face, Colgate or toothpaste and disposable brush. These big planes are really comfortable inside, in front of each seat there is a small LCD TV where you can  play some videos and music, play games and all the rest. Then it was time to take off,bye bye Africa,i went past Madagascar,i could see the deserts sands and the nice landscape of the beautiful African Island.I could see the clouds down below us,we were still climbing high, the distance to the destination shown on the LCD TV and the map was also  shown to us.Then we were flying above the Indian ocean, most of the Passengers were  Asians i think from China Hong Kong and other Asian countries.Meals were served on board, drinks even beer was served on board but the only problem is that there is a limit for a passenger to drink or else they will misbehave or endanger our life up there, thats every man's nightmare.after cruising for about 13 hours and some minutes at altitudes of about 36000 feet through the storms and dark clouds,we finally touched down in Hong Kong, ooh another airport i will never forget, the airport if i can still recall exactly what i have seen, its like it is built in the middle of the ocean, and when we touched down,i could see large ships,my first time to see a ship though, and it was like we were going to land straight into the sea,it was amazing,i mean i can't really describe the experience there in Hong Kong. Then they were this tall buildings, even though i have seen some tall buildings in Johannesburg,Hong Kong i think, according to me has the best infrastructure. The airport itself is too big,to move from one point to another you have to catch a fast moving train within the terminal building or you can use the escalator, hey believe me some of my colleague nearly got lost there cause the airport is too big,we have to look for them throughout the terminal building,as i have said some people, like me,it was their first time for them to travel abroad into this big terminal buildings. In Hong Kong were were to take only 20 minutes before we boarded another Cathy Pacific airplane, this time around to our final destination. After travelling for 13 hours i couldn't wait to get to Malaysia. In three ours we arrived in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, also known as KLIA.The very last words i had from the flight attendant when we arrived were like this''welcome to KLIA airport, for your information you are reminded that Malaysia's law prohibit any kind of harmful (something like that) drugs and the offence is punishable by death, enjoy your stay in Malaysia.''Then when we arrive in KLIA terminal building,it was a little bit more like Hong Kong airport,The staff from the school at which i will stay were already there waiting for us,we went through immigration checkpoints and were were free to go.We withdraw  some money from our fully loaded accounts and we were taken into a bus.Temperatures in Malaysia were too high,it was raining, vegetation ever green,i was in the new world now.i could see world class high ways.It was the most memorable time of my life.Others still to come in my new world.Africa is 10000 miles away.i'm among Chinese, Malays and Indians now.
